Distribution Relocation – Bloomington, IN. This project is for the relocation of the existing 12kV distribution for the construction of the new I-69 project. The duties included the layout of relocated lines, including both primary and secondary. The structures consist of primarily wood single pole structures and underground crossings as required. 34.5 kV sub transmission line-Lawrence County, New York. Duties included design of two parallel, 3 Phase, single circuit, 34.5 kV sub transmission lines, each approximately 3 miles in length, tying in a new substation to an existing 34.5 kV line. The design utilized single pole wood Buckarm type structures, single pole wood switch structures, two pole wood H-frame structures and three pole wood structures, and included an underground segment to transition across a ROW. Duties also included field inspections, preparation of cost estimates, material lists and construction specifications and overseeing the preparation of the construction drawings.

 

115 kV transmission line– Worcester County, Massachusetts; duties included relocation and design of an approximate 1-mile section of an existing 115 kV transmission line and design of a new 115 kV transmission line approximately 7 miles in length. Each line is a 3 Phase, single circuit 115 kV transmission line and utilize 954 kcmil 54/7 ACSR “Cardinal” conductor and 3/8” EHS 7-strand steel shieldwire on primarily single pole weathering steel davit arm structures arranged in delta configuration. Duties also included field inspections, preparation of scope documents, worklists, cost estimates, material lists, structure load reports, foundation design, construction specifications and structure concept drawings, written responses to various regulatory interrogatories, and coordination of efforts with various associated National Grid departments and environmental contractor.

 

115 kV transmission line uprate from 69kV–Hampden County, Massachusetts; duties included design of a new 115 kV transmission line approximately 10 miles in length. The line is a 3 Phase, single circuit 115 kV transmission line and initially utilizes 954 kcmil 54/7 ACSR “Cardinal” conductor and 3/8” EHS 7-strand steel shieldwire on primarily single pole weathering steel davit arm structures arranged in delta configuration. The structures on this project have been designed to withstand the loads of a 1590 kcmil 54/19 ACSR “Falcon” conductor for future upgrade capacity. Duties also included field inspections, preparation of scope documents, worklists, cost estimates, material lists, regulatory hearing attendance, written responses to various regulatory interrogatories, coordination of efforts with various associated National Grid departments and the environmental contractor.

 

Uprate from 69 kV to 115 kV transmission line project–Monroe County, New York; duties included preliminary design of the new 115 kV transmission line approximately 10 miles in length. The line is a 3 Phase, single circuit 115 kV transmission line and will utilize the 795 kcmil 26/7 ACSR “Drake” conductor and 3/8” EHS 7-strand steel shieldwire on primarily single pole weathering steel davit arm structures arranged in delta configuration. Duties also included field inspections, preparation of preliminary scope and estimate documents, work list, material lists, alternative routing reviews and coordination of efforts with various associated National Grid departments and environmental contractor.
